New Printer Payment Lowdown

I’m sure most of you have noticed that payment for printing has resumed in the library—so despite the bad news that printing is not free, you get the good news in knowing that our new payment system is faster, better and more flexible than before!

If you have a debit or credit card (Visa or Mastercard), all you need to do is insert it into the card reader right next to the printer, make your prints and copies, then hit done and get your card back.  Yep, it’s that easy.  If you want a receipt, insert the credit/debit card you just used into the larger KIOSK next to the stairs and follow the directions.

For those of you who do not have a credit or debit card, don’t worry, there is still a way to print!  At the kiosk by the stairs you can obtain (for free) a “print card” which can be loaded with money (bills only, no coins) and then use that print card at the card reader by the printer.  Don’t throw away the card when you are done as you can put more money on it at a later time.

Since it is a new system, if you have any questions or need any kind of help getting started, just let one of the staff at the desk know and we will show you how it’s done.

The pricing for the printer is as follows:

$.11 per 8 ½ X 11 Black and White

$.66 per 8 ½ X 11 Color Copy

$.16 per legal Black and White

$.72 per legal Color Copy
